2014 Robotics Summer Camps

FRC Team 4013 Clockwork Mania, hosted their 3rd Annual Robotics Summer Camps. The team members teached campers programming and building concepts using the Lego Mindstorm, EV3 or Tetrix sets. The campers also participated in science and engineering experiments and challenges.

  • Week #1 - Simple Machines & Introduction to Robotics
Students in grades K-3rd participated in the Simple Machines camp. Students learned how to create simple machines using Lego pieces. They also had the opportunity to see their creations come alive by using motors.
Students attending the Introduction to Robotics camp learned how to build and program a simple robot to perform a given challenge using the Lego Mindstorm system and ending the week with a Sumo Robot Challenge.

  • Week #2 - Introduction to Robotics & Intermediate Robotics
Students attending the Introduction to Robotics camp learned how to build and program a simple robot to perform a given challenge using the Lego Mindstorm system and ending the week with a Sumo Robot Challenge.
Students attending the Intermediate Robotics camps learned how to use the newest addition to the Lego robotics systems, the EV3. Through activities and challenges they learned how to program and build a robot.

  • Week #3 - Intermediate Robotics & Advanced Robotics
Students attending the Intermediate Robotics camps learned how to use the newest addition to the Lego robotics systems, the EV3. Through activities and challenges they learned how to program and build a robot.
Students attending the Advanced Robotics camp learned how to build and program a simple robot using an Object Oriented progamming language, RobotC, to perform a given challenge using the Lego Mindstorm and Tetrix systems.
